So it’s been a little while since I was surprised by not going abroad, I suppose I was hoping something exciting would happen in my life and then I could tell you all about my exciting new job or something of that sort.
Well, it’s not all that exciting but I have a job or at least a seasonal job sporting red and khaki. Orientation included watching about three hours of video, all incredibly well acted of course, about the usual workplace safety, harassment, and general protocol. First day of training was alright, 6 hours of restocking shelves plus a food safety quiz. Good times. The people I’m working with seem pretty fun which will hopefully make the next few months pretty decent. By Black Friday I should know the place like the back of my hand.
